Everybody Welcome

We want as many people as possible to come and enjoy Little but LIVE! This page contains lots of helpful information about how to get to the festival and what to expect when you're there, particularly if you have access requirements.

Access to Moseley Park

The festival takes place at Moseley Park and Pool, the entrance to which can be found at 93b Alcester Road, Birmingham B13 8DD. The entrance is down an alleyway between the Moseley Hive and Dickson's Estate Agents. The nearest public car park is shown on the map below.

Car park address:

 178 Alcester Rd, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8HJ

The park is also easy to access from Birmingham city centre via the number 50 bus. Timetables for the bus can be found here.

When you arrive at the gate, our stewards will greet you and tell you where to go. There are toilet immediately on the right hand side as you go in. These are gender neutral and one has a baby changing table.

Our stewards will direct you down the path. Once you have passed the tennis courts, head left into the field and you'll see our Box Office table where we'll check your tickets and you can head into the performance area. Tickets will also be available for purchase here via cash or card, provided that the event has not sold out already.

Access to The Moseley Hive

Some of our events are taking place at The Moseley Hive. This is located in the building next to One Trick Pony Club and the entrance to the park (the former Pizza Express). The building is fully accessible for wheelchairs and has an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities.

Information for wheelchair users

The path in Moseley Park is flat and step-free, but can be uneven in some places, particularly in the alleyway leading to the gate, and in the lower portion of the field. It should be suitable for anyone with a wheelchair that can go on grass or light rubble.

You are welcome to sit in your wheelchair anywhere in our performance area, or if you would prefer to transfer to your own seat, our stewards can look after your wheelchair or any walking aids during the performance. Please note that we are not able to provide any chairs for our performances and encourage audience members to bring their own.

The park toilets are not suitable for wheelchair users, so we will be hiring an accessible portacabin for the duration of the event. This will be step-free and wide enough for wheelchair access, and have grab rails and hand sanitiser.

Accessible performances

We will be having a BSL interpreted performance of our production of The Comedy of Errors on Sunday 18th September at 2pm. You can book tickets for this here.

FLEX, a production by Cloud Cuckoo Land Theatre, has been made to be enjoyed by both neurodivergent and neurotypical children, and contains lots of music and interactive parts for all young people to enjoy. You can book tickets here and find out more about Cloud Cuckoo Land here. All tickets for this performance are free.

Because of our outdoor setting and the ethos of Little but LIVE!, we take a relaxed approach to all our performances. You can bring your own blankets, chairs, food and drink and are welcome to eat during performances. We welcome well-behaved dogs as long as they are on leads, and there is no minumum age for children (subject to any age restrictions that we put in place on individual performances, such as our stand up comedy). Babies and small children are welcome, and you can make noise and move around during performances. You can go in and out of the performance area freely. Our shows don't involve any special effects, sudden noises or bright lights.

Babes in arms

Babies are welcome at all performances provided that there are no age restrictions for that event (these will be listed on the booking pages so please check there). Sometimes we implement age restrictions in interactive workshops where activities may be unsafe for very small children.

If your child is under the age of 2, you do not need to book them a ticket to any event, but we request that you do for children older than this. Prams and pushchairs can be brought into the performance area, but we might ask you to store them at the side or back during busy performances where they might obstruct someone's view. There are baby changing facilities in the park toilets near the entrance.
