After a research and development grant from Arts Council England to develop the show in 2023, The Wizard of Oz delighted audiences across the country in 2025. A fresh and contemporary new version, placing our home city of Birmingham front and centre, and layered with some beautiful original songs by Steve McCourt, this marked a huge step in Paperback Theatre's creative journey.
